Fitness Festival offered multiple classes and a day of fun

(West Palm Beach, FL) -Over 325 participants enjoyed a day of free outdoor fitness classes at the 1st annual West Palm Beach Fitness Festival at Gaines Park, April 18th 2009.

Participants had a variety of fitness classes to choose from: yoga, kickboxing, pilates, spin, soul line dancing and Zumba. There were 9 total classes with an average class size over 50. With dual classes going on throughout the day, the largest participation during an hour was 101. WOW!!!

While Living Fit Today organized the event and its founders Jerry Jefferson and Therese Abair taught classes, teachers from the community offered their expertise to the community for free. “Everyone seemed to have a great time, we saw a lot of smiles and laughter” said Therese Abair, West Palm Beach Fitness Festival founder. “It is our hope the participants picked up something new and will continue or begin a consistent routine on the road to a healthy lifestyle.”

In addition to the fitness classes, nutritionists were on hand to answer questions; free sports massages and free, confidential HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis testing were available; as well as donating blood. Goody bags were provided by Winn Dixie.

The event was sponsored by Publix and NRWindows The event organizers, Living Fit Today, are pleased to provide another free community event.
